On Wednesday something suspicious happened… Some of the richest people in the world pledged to donate HALF of their vast fortunes to charity. I shit you not friends… A campaign was started by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet back in June to get some of the worlds richest people to donate at least half of their fortunes to charity and its still growing. George Lucas, Ted Turner, and Michael Bloomberg are just a few more ridiculously rich people willing to part with 50% of their accumulated wealth.
So, if your anything like me, your wondering… whats the catch? Is this all for some bigger reason than “the greater good”.. Is their some hidden, nefarious reason being passed off as charity donations? Well after some research I had a tough time figuring out what the hell it could be… Although I did find out that this campaign asks billionaires to give away, at minimum, half their wealth but the donation will occur during their lifetime or after their death, not immediately. Yet they do make it clear that the billionaire needs to publicly state their intention with a letter explaining their decision to donate. The organization putting together this pledge has clearly stated “The Pledge is a moral commitment to give, not a legal contract.” So take that as you will… Of course there will be massive tax breaks for these donations, but Gates and Buffet explain this is not a reason for the donations. {whack off motion} Yea, but they will still take those tax breaks wont they?
Still, Im confused.. I cant help but think there is another agenda.. something else going on.. Maybe the worlds richest people are putting their money into a fake charity that’s building special colonies on the moon, or Mars because the Earth is about to be destroyed.. Or maybe they need to build special ships 2012 style to survive the end of the Mayan calendar. THERE IS ANOTHER REASON DAMMIT! And im going to find it!
Any ideas? Anybody know anything? You can feel free to take a look at the billionaires joining the pledge and see their letters on www.thegivingpledge.org. Tell me your opinions!

Irobots!!!!
I think the seragets deal was a little too far fetched
Maybe some of these guys are just remembering what it was like to be poor and giving back to the community, or maybe since it’s after their death they don’t really care what happens to their money cause they’ll be dead. It sounds seriously fishy, but if its after their death that its donated then it can’t be something for 2012. So my best guesses are either some actual sense of morals surfaced or its good publicity.
I agree theres something else going on.. Not sure what it is though. Haha, interesting idea though Mitch, maybe the earth killing asteroid is on its way and they need money to build rockets. lol, messed up.
the worlds comin to an end. RIOT TIME!!
I have my cardboard sign ready.
I think that there is a reason for the donations and one being a tax right off but it is puzzling because there has to be more than that. Could it really be that they care about these places that they are giving their money to?
Juice Fountain Elite I find this article from google when searching Great page and great site, <I will bookmark your blog Thank You!
A noble deed in deed but to what end charity is a noble cause but why not a foundation to help people start small businesses or grants to help existing small companies. give a man a fish and he will eat for a day give a man the means and know how to fish he will eat for life. we need to become a nation of producers again. if you have a nation of producers the consumer market will be there. the country does not need a hand out it needs a hand up.
in deed people live the disease and not able to work ’cause of big surgeries and have age then they need little money to get little happy among negative thinking
